Bottled in 2016 at 12 years barrel aged. Aged via the canteiro process, which stacks barrels in warehouses, where the wine is gently warmed to create madeira's distinct style. 100% Verdelho, with between 60-80g/L residual sugar.
Faded tropicals, sweet old persimmon with its citric edge, rancio and complex wood-oxidative characters. This is a great wine slowly lengthening sweetness is guided by typical sweet-fresh acidity. The palate has a subtle line, is gently plush, full of persimmons' perfumed sweetness, velvet-textured, golden and round with tart fruit skin and jagged citric acidity giving penetrating run.
