Rosalia Molina makes organic wines in one of Spain's highest altude wineries. Here, we are on the edge of what is possible: On a plateau at 1,100 metres above sea level, the grapes experience a large diurnal range that encourages even ripening and helps to retain natural acidity.
Her bodega is named ‘Altolandon’: Alto for the altude, Landon in reference to the nearest town, Landete. Among others, Rosalia works with the local red grape, Bobal. TSA has had eyes open for this grape for a very long me, and has tasted hundreds of flabby, uninteresng Bobals – Rosalia’s is the first to ever capvate us!
