Alvaro Palacios Oli D'Oliva Verge Extra

As well as some of the most remarkable and delicious Garnacha wines in the world, the hills of Priorat are home to extremely old wild olive trees.

The steepest and poorest soils of Priorat have historically been planted to grapes, with the more humid and fertile locations given to olives. Many such trees around the vineyards of L’Ermita and Finca Dofi are now more than 500 years old, and yield an invigorating liquid gold in miniscule volumes. Beginning with the fabled L’Ermita site, Alvaro Palacios has gathered olives from 11 parcels in the village of Gratallops to produce his delightful Oli d’Oliva Verge Extra.
